Garden Gnome Vintage Prewar Figure & Ax Marked Germany 12 Tall Terracotta

Yard Gnome Vintage Antique Pre-War (WWII) marked Germany. He is 12 tall I call him Benny for whatever reason, but he is a grand old man who is in good shape and looking for a new home. Benny just needs a change of Scenery since he is retired from the garden.

He has his left arm over his eyes looking in the distance with an ax in his right hand ready to chop some wood. I think the wooden handle on the ax is newer, probably lost the handle cutting trees. Fantastic detail in his face and beard. A small amount of wear on the toes of his feet nothing nasty and the front of his brown vest. He has some weight but not hollow in places you can see the terra-cotta, especially in the background shading of his beard.
