The 226E was one of Lionel's top of the line engines in the late Prewar era and many of the tools used to make the 226 were used as the starting point for the Postwar Era 726/736 Berkshires. This powered steam locomotive features a powerful motor, reverse unit, lights, full die-cast construction, and metal wheels.
The "Lionel Lines" on the sides of the tender were painted over with black paint by the previous owner and visible brush strokes can be seen when up close. A round area of adhesive is also present on one side. Light dust is present on this item, so the overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. Wheels on both items show signs of wear from previous use. This item has been inspected by our repair shop. Please see the attached picture for inspection details and additional operation information. The instruction manuals and original boxes are not included.
